THE POSITION

To ensure that all components as received on time & in full for modules kitting prior to assembly in accordance with the project schedule whilst constantly providing updates to the project team throughout the timeline.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure all materials are on schedule to the project milestones.
• Effectively communicate key project information to all key stakeholders.
• Facilitate the flow of materials between various suppliers & departments.
• Ensure project reporting communication is timely & of the highest standard.
• Maintain accurate project records and master documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be the responsible owner for ensuring all parts are manufactured & procured on time & in full.
• Coordinate with a network of supply partners, our internal manufacturing & sub-contractors to ensure on-time delivery is met.
• Ensure that we’ve released & actioned the correct demands for materials for the project by cross referencing bills of materials & our ERP system.
• Provide solutions to vendors priority clashes, errors & other problems as they arise.
• Ensure that project purchase orders have acknowledged delivery dates from the supply chain & that we obtain regular progress checks to ensure that they are still on schedule.
• Manage & coordinate components through the factory and with sub-contract suppliers to ensure final delivery dates are met. Achievement of parts due dates will ensure “delivery on time” targets are met.
• Work closely with the buyer & project engineer on released material demand status.
• Liaise with Purchasing and Manufacturing Managers regularly on progress & escalate any issues to achieve the required lead times.
• Monitor the project schedule dates, identifying any timing issues. Closely monitor milestones, targets and objectives, liaising with other departments when necessary. Attend internal meetings when necessary, to provide regular progress reports to both the project team and management. Ensure project is delivered to meet customer’s satisfaction.
• Liaise with the Warehouse Manager on a regular basis regarding transportation requirements to & from our network of sub-contractors.
• Promote Lean Initiatives such as 6S and Internal Customer ensuring your team are provided with, and pass on, work of the required standard.
• Work with all Mpac Lambert colleagues to ensure compliance with ISO14001, ISO9001 and OHSAS18001 and support a culture of Lean and Continuous Improvement by complying with appropriate Standard Operating Procedures. This will ensure that Mpac Lambert retains its accreditation and maintains its position as a provider of high quality service and that its employees are working efficiently and safely.
• Work with all Mpac Lambert colleagues to ensure that our internal customer ethos is delivered and maintained through everything we do including right first time, on time and in full.
• Always demonstrate respect, integrity, trust and excellence in interactions with all colleagues, customers and suppliers in line with Mpac Lambert’s internal customer programme.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Engineering Background
• 5S/6S experience
• Experience of LEAN manufacturing techniques
• Ability to manage differing/conflicting priorities
• Ability to identify issues, provide and implement solutions

THE PERSON

• Experience in supply chain management, procurement & planning
• Working with Bills of Materials
• Knowledge project management processes
• ERP experience
• In-depth understanding of services & materials procurement
• Organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills
• Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office & experience of MS Project
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Process Discipline
